At Showcase Cinemas, we believe our purpose goes beyond providing a great movie-going experience for our customers. We are a key part of the communities in which we serve. As vital community members, we believe we can have a role in making a positive impact by creating strong partnerships, giving back and overall DOING GOOD.
Moviegoers can support Variety – the Children’s Charity by purchasing a gold heart pin at the box office.
The limited-edition “Avatar: The Way of Water” pins benefit Variety programs that provide life-changing equipment, services and experiences to children who live with special needs or who are disadvantaged. Variety – the Children’s Charity was started over 95 years ago to help children with special needs and disadvantages. Many families cannot afford the critical treatments, equipment and physical therapy sessions required for their children to enjoy an improved and inclusive quality of life. Everyone who purchases an “Avatar: The Way of Water” gold heart pin will support the children and their families served by Variety – the Children’s Charity. Pins cost $3 each and 100% of proceeds are donated to Variety – the Children’s Charity.
Showcase Cinemas partners with The Jimmy Fund
For more than 70 years, Showcase Cinemas, has conducted an annual canister collection drive for The Jimmy Fund. The funds raised help provide adult and pediatric cancer care and research. This year’s collection drive will be completely digital.
Please help us keep the important work and mission of The Jimmy Fund collection drive going strong by Rounding Up for Good on our website or donating at danafarber.jimmyfund.org/showcaseforgood
Doing GOOD for the industry we love
Dating back to 1948, Showcase Cinemas and the movie-theater industry have joined together to raise millions of dollars to support The Jimmy Fund, Variety Club, and Will Rogers Pictures Pioneers Foundation. These powerful organizations bring together resources and support to help children and families in our communities and industry.
Doing GOOD in our communities
Showcase Cinemas proudly partners with many non-profit organizations to help them best achieve their goals. By hosting special screenings, collection drives and experiential events, we get to work closely with organizations doing great work in the communities we serve.
Doing GOOD through our programming
Through the magic of movies, we create year-round programming to support important causes in the communities we serve. Sensory Sensitive Screenings allow customers who need a sensory-friendly environment to see the latest movies; Bookworm Wednesdays rewards young patrons with free movies; and our annual Holiday Classics program offers a free classic movie for the price of a donated non-perishable item for a local food pantry.
