o Own service recovery;

Determine amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems;
Ensure availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation;
Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques;
Store food properly and safely, marking the date and item;
Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor;
Prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders;
Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved;
Apportion food for serving;
Maintain daily production records;
Complete food temperature checks before service;
Maintain proper stock level of kitchen items;
Perform the daily and nightly cleaning of kitchen equipment in accordance with opening and closing procedures;
Operate equipment, i.e. deep fryer, flat top grills, pizza ovens, dough mixers etc;

· Communicate promptly to management any concerns affecting the kitchen’s operation;

· Work varied hours/days as business dictates; and

· Stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours.
