Our cooks prepare and direct the preparation of food to be served, comply with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and follow established food production programs and procedures while ensuring the appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste and fraud.

Store food properly and safely, marking the date and item;
Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor;
Prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders;
Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved;
Apportion food for serving;
Maintain daily production records;
Complete food temperature checks before service;
Maintain proper stock level of kitchen items;
Perform the daily and nightly cleaning of kitchen equipment in accordance with opening and closing procedures;
Operate equipment, i.e. deep fryer, flat top grills, pizza ovens, dough mixers etc;
Communicate promptly to management any concerns affecting the kitchen’s operation;
Work varied hours/days as business dictates; and
Stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours.
